A DISCUSSION OF INSURANCE & ETHICS

Registration: 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Meeting Starts at 12:15 p.m.
Join us for this informative ethics discussion with Peter Hildebrand, a licensed insurance counselor, with Peter Hildebrand LLC. This luncheon discussion will last approximately 45 minutes. Mr. Hildebrand is a former insurance company executive with 30 years experience in claims, regulatory and legal matters. He has been consulting since 2005 on most any insurance related matter or problem.

GOOD WORKS COMMITTEE - 2009 United Way Day of Caring and the Mary Rigg Center Food Drive.

On Friday, August 28, 2009, 13 people made up of CPCU members and insurance professionals volunteered their time and energy at the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center near downtown Indianapolis. Our participation was part of the United Way Day of Caring and the Mary Rigg Center made this day a food drive collection day from local individuals and businesses. Our group sorted food as it came in & moved it upstairs to the pantry. Prior to the event, the CPCU chapter held a food drive and was able to collect a large amount of food to donate as well. At the beginning of the day, the pantry was pretty bare but by the time we left, it was stocked full of food and personal care products!

Central Indiana CPCU Qualifies for CPD Excellence Award
The Central Indiana CPCU Chapter has qualified for the CPD Excellence Award. This award recognizes chapters with at least 20% (or 50 members if less then 20%) of the active members qualifying for CPD recognition.
The chapter would like to thank all those qualified CPD members for making this chapter award possible. Please view the award letter received.

ADVANCED CPCU CANDIDATES QUALIFY FOR CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP
A new category of membership is open to CPCU Candidates, called the Candidate Member. After passing at least 4 exams, you are eligible to join a Chapter for 1/2 the normal dues. It’s a great way to meet and work with other CPCUs and candidates on a variety of matters, and gain help and encouragement to continue the CPCU Program. It pays to be a CPCU. As you acquire CE credits, you can apply to National to have them recognized for CPD credits too. What an easy way to accumulate points for CPD! Download the application on-line from the CPD page.
