OCTOBER I-DAY PREVIEW
Your Chapter I-Day Committee is hard at work preparing for another valuable and entertaining I-Day CPCU Conferment and Educational Seminar Presentation.
Mark your calendar now to save October 8, 2008 to attend. This year the conferment of the CPCU designation on Chapter New Designees will take place on teh north-side at The Fountains, 502 E Carmel Dr., Carmel Indiana 46032, 317-566-3400.
Rough Notes will once again present its “Insurance Challenge”, a CE qualified presentation, testing teams' knowledge of insurance products. The winning team will share a $500 cash award, complimnets of Rough Notes.
Other insurance-oriented seminars being firmed up will be of interest to anyone in the industry. Also being worked on as a general interest seminar will be another career development seminar by Equus Consulting.
Check back often for additional information as the seminars, speakers, and presenters are confirmed.

IIAI Announces Three Central Indiana CPCU Award Recipients
IIAI has announced its 2007 achievement award recipients and we would like to congratulate those from Central Indiana CPCU Society in additional to all the award recipients.

Central Indiana CPCU Qualifies for CPD Excellence Award
The Central Indiana CPCU Chapter has qualified for the CPD Excellence Award. This award recognizes chapters with at least 20% (or 50 members if less then 20%) of the active members qualifying for CPD recognition.
The chapter would like to thank all those qualified CPD members for making this chapter award possible. Please view the award letter received.

Do Your Member Records Need Some Spring Cleaning?
If you have moved, changed jobs, or have a new phone number or e-mail address, please update your member records. Keeping your records up to date ensures that you will continue to receive Society publications, important e-mails, and other timely information. To review and update your member records, log in to the CPCU Society web site and click on “Update Your Member Contact Information.” To change chapter or company information, or if you need assistance in updating your e-mail address, send an e-mail to the Member Resource Center, or call (800) 932-CPCU, option 4.
To ensure accuracy when notifying the Member Resource Center of address or e-mail changes, or to register for an educational event, please provide your member ID number, or your name exactly as it appears on your member records.

ADVANCED CPCU CANDIDATES QUALIFY FOR CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP
A new category of membership is open to CPCU Candidates, called the Candidate Member. After passing at least 4 exams, you are eligible to join a Chapter for 1/2 the normal dues. It’s a great way to meet and work with other CPCUs and candidates on a variety of matters, and gain help and encouragement to continue the CPCU Program. It pays to be a CPCU. As you acquire CE credits, you can apply to National to have them recognized for CPD credits too. What an easy way to accumulate points for CPD! Download the application on-line from the CPD page.
