Sponsored by the Central Indiana CPCU Society Chapter, All Industry Day provides an educational forum for the insurance industry. All members of the insurance community as well as other interested parties are invited to attend. There will be morning and afternoon educational seminars for Continuing Education credits.

With approximately 20 percent of all medical spending going towards prescription drugs, workers' compensation insurers are working very hard to mitigate these costs. This session will provide some background information on the opioid epidemic and discuss the impact the crisis is having on workers’ compensation insurers. Discussion topics will include legislative efforts, prescription drug monitoring programs, coordination with pharmacy benefit managers, advanced analytics, drug programs, helpful apps and more.

This interactive seminar, classroom instruction through role plays and a mock trial, will focus on a hypothetical lawsuit related to the sharing economy. This seminar educates the audience on the definitions and operations of the sharing economy, the statutory and regulatory framework that govern it, and the insurance coverages and the implications of that coverage. Through the role plays and a mock trial, the audience will understand what the sharing economy is and become equipped to recognize the potential legal issues the sharing economy presents.
